Welcome to this introduction to Kundalini Yoga(1) as taught by Yogi Bhajan(2) ®, a “sacred science of being human”(3).This website was born of a desire to share the method and knowledge that has helped restore my health, youthfulness, vitality and love of life. I had searched for many years for practical tools that would help me understand how we function as human beings, in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual domains, and what can help us to "change gears" when we get stuck, or worse, when we totally break down.
Kundalini Yoga and its healing branch, Sat Nam Rasayan®(4) provide an “owner’s manual” for the “human vehicle”. It teaches a way to manage stress before it becomes overwhelming, a way to stay stable when life becomes tempestuous. It teaches to transform challenges into opportunities. How? It cuts through our habitual mental & energetic patterns that are detrimental & thus enables us to tap into our highest potential and be fully present in our circumstances. It does so with practical exercises using breath patterns, body postures & movements, as well as sound work.
May this site help start a journey of discovery for you into a practical world of healing, self-revelation and self-empowerment. May it dispel some of the common myths and fears about this now widely used term of "yoga", with assumptions that may keep you from trying it and trusting your own experience rather than outside opinions. My precept as a Kundalini Yoga teacher is "Keeping it real"! It has become my motto.
I look forward to meeting you, or seeing you again soon, on this side of the globe or the other (4), whatever your language (5 ), we will find a common tongue. Nothing inspires me more to continue to teach than witnessing students reclaim their vibrancy and light and then "give it forward" by inspiring other people, each in their own way. Sat Nam (6).
